Medea’s Walk is a Pasolini inspired Butoh opera, starring butoh dancers Valentin Tszin and Flavia Ghisalberti with music by Audrey Chen (vocals), Phil Minton (vocals), Henrik Munkeby Norstebo (trombone), Thomas Rohrer (rabeca), and Michael Vorfeld (percussion), staged in front of the UFO looking roof at Olympic stadium of Kiev, Ukraine. This genre bending opera has no melodic lines, let alone arias, but can be perceived as a counterpoint of thriller threads by body and sound performance in their mixture of beauty and pain.
尋找米蒂亞 (Medea’s Walk) 將舞台劇融合黑暗舞踏從聲音到身體與觀眾串連，一場大規模儀式班的即興表演。影片改編於古希臘神話米蒂亞; 一個殘暴復仇的故事，反映對人性最赤裸的追尋，靈魂在掙扎般，崩壞而絕美。舞踏源自於日本，受到西方超現實主義的非理性及恍惚 (Convulsive Beauty) 概念影響，又參雜新達達主義的反藝術觀念。八〇年代以後舞踏逐漸受到歐美舞蹈屆的歡迎和重視，國際上各個藝術節、舞蹈節更常看見舞踏的表演。如今，日本舞踏已和碧娜・鮑許 (Pina Bausch) 的舞蹈劇場及美國的後現代舞蹈 (Postmodern Dance) 並列為當代三大新舞蹈流派。這次舞者 Flavia Ghisalberti 和 Valentin Tszin 在 Olimpiyskiy National 前將舞踏用尼采的悲觀主義來表現精神層面的恍惚，在極少支撐點的情況下將肢體扭曲變形而達到原始自然的存在狀態。有別於日本舞者短小精幹的身體，以他修長結實的身型舞出了獨特的西方舞踏語彙。
